On February 11, just three days shy of the lover’s holiday, U.K. soul singer Daley released his debut album, Days & Nights.
Giving fans a soulful love-scape, the R&B vocalist then crossed over the pond to deliver his “future throwback” sound. Amidst taking his slow-jam filled project on the road, Daley found time to sit down with REVOLT, as he prepared to close out the last leg of his album tour at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles.
Referring to his sound as “future throwback,” he explained: “I like to take the feel of what people associate with throwback music and sonically make it feel that it’s of it’s time and hopefully a little futuristic.”
It’s been an uphill coast for the curly-haired-crooner, and with a cosign from the man of the year himself, Pharrell, the rising star’s career has nowhere to go but up. Watch as Daley breaks down his latest project, and where he’s taking his soulful serenade next.
